Equilibrium is defined as a state of balance or a stable situation where opposing forces cancel each other out and where no changes are occurring. This balance exists in life and is often described as yin and yang. In Ancient Chinese philosophy, yin and yang is a concept of dualism, describing how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world, and how they may give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another. When life isn’t in balance, we will feel unsettled and an overwhelming feeling that change is needed.
